Pass The Sound is a shared learning resource, offering free warm-up, skills, creative, and workshop exercises for musicians to use whilst facilitating group music-making contexts.

This is our channel for learning,  and inspiring. If you have any questions or queries please email us at:

These exercises have been developed by the following institutions offering a leadership program or the Master NAIP:

Royal Conservatoire The Hague and Prince Claus Conservatoire Groningen,  The Netherlands, Iceland Academy of the Arts, Reykjavik, Iceland Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London, United Kingdom.

These recordings and website have been made possible with the support of the Société Gavigniès & co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union

The value of these exercises is not only in the ‘what’ of the exercise, but also in the ‘how’:

How can I use this as inspiration and work out a new exercise applied to my own practise?; how can I bring these exercises into a social context? etc

and most importantly;

for ‘whom’.

How can this exercise improve the quality of life or learning processes for other people in other places of our society.

Within the NAIP programme we educate professional artists in how to apply the games, not only instructing students on what the games are.

These exercises have been filmed in a ‘studio’ environment rather that in ‘real life’ situations in order to create value for others in the social domain. These exercises have developed from decades of shared practise and re-interpretation, we are eternally grateful to all the creative minds that have contributed to this journey.
